Description
GSM module is deployed for the communication in transferring all the IO data from the Main modules and expander modules. The GSM module is designed and built to communicate via 2G/3G/LTE and it covers the major band widths to use in many regions to cover GPRS, EDGE, 900 /1800MHZ. GSM module enables the communication to use light weight protocol MQTT which is widely applicable in many technological communications for internet of things and artificial Intelligence applications.
SIM7500 modem from SIMCOM which is an OEM product is designed for applications that need low latency, medium throughput data communication in a variety of radio propagation conditions. Due to the unique combination of performance, security and flexibility, this module is ideally suited for M2M applications, such as metering, telematics, asset tracking, remote monitoring ,E-health , mobile pos terminals and sharing bike.
GSM module operates with DC voltage with an flexibility between 12 volts to 24 volts. Current consumption of the GSM module is very low and range between 100 – 300 milliamps. Module is built to have an provision for DIN rail mount arrangements, where it could be installed in any existing industrial control cabinets or using an DIN rail enclosure.
Module has an external antenna provision with SMA connector where the signal level may be low and requires boosting of signals via external antennas.
